Näkineid

Näkineid illustration

“Näkineid” is a Estonian word and means “neck”. Not the neck that holds your head, but the water spirit. It is mythological creature, similar to mermaid and siren. Under a variety of names they are common in many nations mythology and stories, but are best known from Scandinavian folklore.

As you can see, I used a photo as my drawings background and I think it is quite interesting that way. 🙂 It may sound like easy solution, but actually there was still pretty much work to do, because there were unnecessary things in that photo. So I had to fix it.
