Reading, lots of reading – it’s basically everything I have done lately besides working, drawing this picture and eating tons of ice cream.

And life is not bad at all. It’s slowly gets warmer here and so unbelievable as it seems, the spring really is approaching. There is only one thing that I have missed and it’s reading my favourite bloggers’ posts. It has not been intentional that I have been so far from WordPress. It’s the pile of books in my corner of living room and more books in my workplace (I’m working in library, if you remember) that I can blame. But now I’m back and I try to keep track with your great stories and pictures again. 🙂

Finally, here is for you one beautiful song which have been out only few days and I already have listened it thousand times: Lorde – Liability. I hope you enjoy it.

  3. Oo, I love reading on the moon and I love your illustration :-)! I’m happy to see the weasel again. So cute! Now I feel like curling up with a book with a wonderful, fictional story. Or driving somewhere with no street lights so the sky looks that beautiful. Thanks for the song recommendation. I’ll check it out when I get home.

      I’m not very satisfied how I made the stars, I think they look too much like the snowflakes from the Reading on the Tree picture. But yeah, sky full of stars is truly grandiose view. That’s why I love August, then there are the most beautiful sky.

      1. Oh, I totally didn’t notice that the stars look like snow until you mentioned it. They do look like snow. But they look more like stars. I was curious and looked at your tree illustration again. Those dots definitely look more like snow. Somehow, you distributed them differently… the distribution is more snow-like then star-like. I can’t even tell why. How *did* you distribute them differently? Also, some of your snow flakes are kind of smeared so they are no longer round (great idea!). And some of your stars have a cool “glowy” effect that your snowflakes don’t have. And your stars have that distance effect, with some of them looking further away than others, whereas your snowflakes are in the foreground with the reader. I think you did some really cool and effective stuff to make your snow and stars look different (and I had a lot of fun comparing the two!). 🙂

        It was fun to hear a new song but it didn’t suit my mood so I wasn’t into it. It happens!

        1. Wow, thank you for your analysis, Myr. :O
          About distribution I can’t say much, only that maybe it’s because the stars are distributed more “regularly” (I don’t know right word for that :D) but the snow is more “loose”. I hope you understand what I try to say. 😀
          Now I’ve stared these two picture so long, that I noticed that in the upper left corner in the Tree picture there is no snow at all. It’s funny that I haven’t noticed it earlier. 😀 Must fix it!

            I didn’t notice the snowless corner either. I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t tell me; the drawing doesn’t lead the viewer’s attention there.

            Thanks again for showing your beautiful drawings. And it was also fun to learn a few things from observing them more closely!

  4. Beautiful image! It would make a wonderful addition to any little girl’s room.

    I don’t read as many books as I used to. When the print font size started getting too hard to read I gave up. I love reading real books, and the “large print” section is always so small at the library. Since needing reading glasses it’s just not as much fun, and I haven’t made the transition to an E-Reader for reading books.

    1. Oh, that’s too bad! It’s so sad if there are problems with eyes. I know it, because I can’t see far. And that means glasses or expensive operation. Or else there is no chance to see the beauty of the world.
