Knitting

Knitting stars moon illustration pencil

I want to enjoy the summer so much as I can. So instead of sitting all days in front of the computer I decided to draw more with traditional pencil. It’s so nice to take your notebook and pencils and go for example to the garden or the forest and draw there. 🙂

This week topic in Illustration Friday is YARN. At first I thought that I’ll make spider knitting the web, but then I came up with this idea instead. And of course I couldn’t stay away from computer very long. As you can see I added some digital sparkle. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Eleanor! 🙂
I don’t know yet what she is knitting. She is keeping that in secret. 😉 But I’m quite sure that it is an evening gown. Made from warm yarn, so that will be perfect for some windy autumn evening here in Estonia. 😀

    1. It IS fun, Dorit! I also think that I should draw outside more and more. Sometimes in movies someone painting outside and that always leaves me with certain special feeling. 🙂

If I’m honest I haven’t drawn real people almost at all. Only few pictures about my friends (made of photos) and quite often I use my hands as models if I draw hands for my not-so-real people (actually they are real, they’re just living in alternative universe, with talking animals and happy endings). But that’s it. I definitely should draw passersby at cafe or my friends in real life. It would be good practice. What about you?

      1. I haven’t done it yet. I hardly draw people at all, unless I have to 🙂 But I went to a live drawing session last week, and it was interesting, as well as gave me some confidence in drawing people who can pose for a few minutes. So maybe we should try it during my visit 🙂
